Tender Description
Council is seeking to engage a consultant to develop Council’s Inclusive Communities Plan for the period 2024-2029 to guide Council’s actions in addressing access, diversity and equity issues in Loddon Shire.
The Plan will align with Council’s Community Vision 2031 – “to create a community where everyone is welcome and has the opportunity to live, work and thrive” and its following priority areas:
- A growing and vibrant community: we will be a welcoming, connected, inclusive and growing community that is strong, supportive and actively involved.
- A supported and accessible community: we will embrace all forms of communication to reach all age groups, backgrounds, and abilities to increase the cohesiveness and connection in our community.
The Plan will support Council to deliver, collaborate, facilitate and advocate in line with the priority areas of the Council Plan 2021-2025:
- We will promote population growth to support a growing and diverse community.
- Equity of access to infrastructure services and retail, to support quality of life.
- We will support a connected and inclusive community that provides opportunities for current and new community members at all ages, abilities and stages of their life.
- We will advocate for other services for our community that support the health, wellbeing and livability of our community.
- We will deliver our core services and advocate for access to other services for our community that support health and wellbeing and livability of the community.
