Tender Description
The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for QCSS support in Central West Queensland - the service is to be located in Central West Queensland and deliver low intensity QCSS supports to assist people to live independently, increase connections and participate in their local community, thereby reducing social isolation. QCSS may be of assistance for people who are affected by circumstances that impact their ability to live independently at home or participate in the community.
QCSS can assist to:
- improve people’s capacity to self-manage and live more independently in their home;
- reduce social isolation through opportunities to connect with others and participate in their local community
- link people with formal and informal supports and services in their community to best address their needs.
Potential service users may be eligible for the QCSS if they:
- are under 65 years old (or under 50 years old for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people); and
- not eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Capacity exists for brokerage or sub-contracting arrangements with other providers where appropriate. Recruitment, training and upskilling of local community members, where possible and appropriate, is highly favoured. Service hours are between 9:00am and 5:00pm, with scope to work outside this range if better suited to the community. The initial contract is for 4 years ending 30 June 2028. No establishment costs are considered.
