Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Waratah-Wynyard Council (WWC) seeks submissions from suitably experienced Consultant/s to prepare a feasibility and predesign study for a proposed Wynyard to Stanley and Smithton Shared User Trail. The Trail will be an extension of the Northwest Coastal Pathway currently being completed in stages from Latrobe to Wynyard. This section will be approximately 88 kms in length with approximately 25kms in the Waratah-Wynyard Local Government Area (LGA) and 53kms in the Circular Head LGA. The trail will predominantly utilise the decommissioned Far Western Railway Corridor and the Bass Highway. The aim of feasibility study is to provide an independent assessment that examines all aspects of the proposed project, including technical, economic, financial, legal, social, health, community, and environmental considerations. The aim of the predesign study component is to provide a design approach to constructing the project including, identifying appropriate trail standards, surface material, road and bridge crossings and other amenities. The selected Consultants will work directly with relevant Council Officers for the time allocated to the study.

SUBMISSIONS: Completed responses must be submitted Electronic Tender Box. Respondents will receive a Successful Submission Receipt timed and dated upon completion. 

CLOSING DATE AND TIME: Tenders close at 3.00 pm AEST on 16 February 2024 and submissions must be fully received by this time. Council is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit. Council staff are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the proposal. Late, verbal or emailed proposals will not be accepted.
