Stretching from Palm Beach to Manly, the Northern Beaches boasts more than half of all the beaches in Sydney and a population of more than 266,000. The Council is committed to maintaining a high level of customer service to the local community.

Northern Beaches Council is working closely with the community to build strategies that enhance our quality of life, promote sustainable development and protect our environment.

Council objectives

NBC is seeking to establish a Circular Economy Hub model in the Northern Beaches so that the region can become the leading reuse and repair network in NSW.

To do this, we are seeking 2 discreet pieces of work. The first is a feasibility study of a circular economy hub model for reuse and repair of household items in the Northern Beaches. The second is an analysis of key circular economy opportunities for businesses in the Northern Beaches, with a focus on opportunities to reuse, repair and recycle of locally generated materials such as manufacturing offcuts.
