This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The Australian Government introduced the Digital ID Bill 2023 to Parliament on 30 November 2023. Subject to Parliament’s consideration, the Government aims for the Digital ID legislation to commence on or around 1 July 2024. If passed, this legislation will be supported by Accreditation Rules. The rules govern an accreditation scheme for Digital ID service providers operating throughout the economy.
To support delivery of the rules, the Department of Finance is seeking consultancy services from a firm with expertise in biometric policy for identity systems, protective security expertise and Digital ID service provider specific systems policy knowledge. The successful supplier will provide subject matter expertise, including analysis of consultation feedback and technical assurance of specified parts of the rules.
