Council is calling for responses from suitably experienced and qualified Contractors to provide Lead Design Services for Cook Park Precinct within the Penrith Local Government Area in relation to the Cook Park Precinct. As further described in Attachment [5] of this RFT - Scope of Services

The Cook Park precinct forms part of the open space network for the residents of St Marys. This greenspace is identified as a district level facility within Council’s Sport & Recreation Strategy and provides for a variety of active and passive recreation needs of the residents within the catchment. The spaces within the facility should accommodate large group activities as well as organised sports and offer opportunities for cultural expression and environmental education. Cook Park is also recognised as the Premier Football facility within the Penrith LGA.

The project incorporates a number of separate projects notably including an amenity building that has been designed to 100% (with the main field precinct) and a concurrently running synthetic field design project which is assessing the feasibility and location(s) of synthetic facilities on the site.

The precinct provides an opportunity for Council to deliver usable greenspace to an evolving community on the precipice of considerable change with the development of the Western Sydney Aerotropolis and primary railway interchange in St Marys CBD. As a district level open space, it is expected that the design will not only respond the issues and requirements of the immediate location but connect into the wider connected ecology, and active transport network of the suburb.

The Services are awarded on a lump sum fixed price basis in accordance with the tender pricing schedules.

Council requires Tenderers to read the Tender Package carefully, and requests all Tenderers follow the format Council requests for Tender Submissions to be provided in response to the RFT.

Council will be holding a onsite information briefing, Council encourages Tenderers to respond
