Robelle Domain Lagoon Sediment Extraction
Tender ID: 547331
Tender Details
Tender Description
Robelle Domain Parklands is located in the upper catchment of the Woogaroo Creek Catchment.
Two main catchments drain into the Robelle Domain Lagoon, namely Mountain Creek which originates from Spring Mountain to the South; and an unnamed creek from the southwest that is drained by two 1,800mm culverts upstream of Barry Alexander Drive, under the Orion Lagoon Pools and discharges into the lagoon.
The Lagoon is located in the centre of the park. The Lagoon was constructed in 2010 as a key feature in the Parkland but has since been almost filled with sandy sediment. As the lagoon was constructed within Mountain Creek, there is a constant flow of water through the lagoon, with a flow rate dependent on rainfall within the catchment.
Based on a comparison between as assumed constructed drawing and the latest survey, the sedimentation depth in the lagoon is at least 4.5 m and the volume of sediment to be removed from the Lagoon is estimated at 8,273 m3.
