The Kempsey Shire Council Waste Management Facility located on Crescent Head Road Kempsey is undergoing remediation and site improvements to mitigate environmental risks, manage site drainage and ensure compliance with EPA licence requirements for current and future landfill operations at the site.

Various site initiatives are currently under way, and these include:

• Remediation of perimeter leachate collection system.
• Remediation of perimeter stormwater open drainage system.
• Provision of stormwater and leachate treatment plant to meet the EPA environmental discharge licence conditions.
• Installation of managed surface sprinkler system to allow discharge to land within the overall landfill site without discharge to established water courses including pump and transfer pipelines.
• Installation of reticulated electricity, communications, and potable water within the site to allow best practice site operation and monitoring once completed.

This Request for Quotation relates to an Expression of Interest for project management services to assist Director Utilities to develop the various work packages, facilitate tendering and once awarded, act as the Client representative on site to supervise the works to completion.

This engagement is a crucial for the development and management of the Waste Management Facility by providing support to Director Utilities and the Waste Manager of the site in seeking to meet licencing conditions and mitigating environmental and commercial risk to Council.

Tenders should be submitted in accordance with instructions included in the information documents and lodged in the electronic tender box prior to the closing time and date. The onus rests on the tenderer to ensure that the tender is lodged in accordance with the above requirements.
