Tender Description

This Expression of Interest ("EOI") is issued by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) as part of a two-stage market engagement exercise to assist the achievement of its Digital Strategy:

Stage 1: Expression of Interest (this document), this stage focuses on:

-Gathering information from the market

-Assist UTS to decide the type of selective market engagement appropriate for Stage 2

-Identification of suitable suppliers to invite to a selective market engagement in Stage 2

Stage 2: Request for Proposal - This Stage focuses on:

-Identification and contracting of a suitable supplier to provide the required ETL tool and API Catalogue solution.

The purpose of the EOI is to engage the market to understand optimal solutions and services for:

A. Extract, Translate and Load (ETL) tool for the purposes of automating the secure movement of large payloads of data around the University, and

B. API Catalogue for the purposes of providing a centralized and unified way to discover and reuse UTS integration products that is useful for both developers and business users.

Respondents may lodge an Expression of Interest for either the ETL tool, or the API Catalogue solution as a single offering, or both the ETL tool and the API Catalogue solution together as one offering.

UTS invites responses from suppliers that meet the following mandatory criteria to inform UTS of optimal ETL and API Catalogue solutions and services:

A. Current capacity to provide ETL and API Catalogue solutions and services relevant to the technological environment described in Part C of this EOI.

B. Currently have contracts with customers providing ETL and API Catalogue solutions and services and can provide two customer case studies and relevant customer referees to verify.

This information is intended to assist UTS in further market engagement to source ETL and API Catalogue solutions and services. To this end UTS will, at its discretion:

a) evaluate and consider all responses to this EOI.

b) shortlist and rank one or more EOI respondents.

c) invite shortlisted EOI respondents to make a presentation to UTS, including a live product demonstration.

d) further evaluate and determine preferred suppliers to be considered for Stage 2.

e) In its sole discretion, undertake Stage 2 procurement to establish a contractual agreement with one or more preferred proof-of-concept participants for the supply of either the ETL tool, or the API Catalogue solution as a single offering, or both the ETL tool and the API Catalogue solution together as one offering.

CLOSING DATE AND TIME:

Submissions must be fully received by 14:00 AEDT Thursday 25th January.

UTS is not bound to accept the lowest priced tender or all or any part of a submission and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit. Late, verbal, faxed, mailed, or emailed submissions will not be accepted.
