Thalanga Hazardous Waste Removal

⁠⁠⁠The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for GEO2023_00460 THA-14 - Thalanga Hazardous Waste Removal.

The Thalanga VMS polymetallic (Cu-Pb-Zn +/- AU-Ag) mine is located 65km WSW of Charters Towers.

The department is to engage a suitable supplier that has the appropriate qualifications and licensing, and capability to deliver the following:

• To remove regulated / Hydrocarbon waste inc, Filters, Rags, grease, Oil, Coolant, Acids, Corrosives, drums, batteries, fire extinguishers, tyres and miscellaneous packaged waste
• To remove all difficult waste streams such as liquid and solid Xanthates, Sodium Metabisulphite in bulk bags.
• Internal tank clean of various tanks using a tank head or as appropriate.
• Certification of lawful disposal or destruction of removed hazardous wastes as applicable.
