Plant & Truck Hire - Wet & Dry (Panel)

Council is seeking Submissions from appropriately qualified and experienced Tenderers for the provision of Plant & Truck Hire – Wet & Dry in accordance with the requirements identified in the Specification.

Council reserves the right to enter into a contract with one or more contractors based on evaluations of each project.

The panel arrangement for Contract Plant - Wet & Dry Hire Services and Operators required under this Agreement is to supplement Council’s own plant, trucks and equipment and or provide additional and specialist plant to enable Council to complete its operational works.

The intention is to create a panel of local suppliers, preferably within in the Kempsey Shire Council LGA or within 100kms of that boundary. Exceptions to this are specialized plant/equipment unable to be sourced locally and dry hire plant and equipment.

Council’s main areas of work are associated with the construction and maintenance of roads, footpaths, water, sewer assets and the maintenance of parks and recreational facilities in the local government area.

As Council requires, contractors will be engaged based on the factors including:

• Quality/safety/environmental performance and management systems
• Accuracy of delivery
• Price, including float charges
• Lead time/availability; and
• Ability to follow instructions.

Council reserves the right to engage any panel member of their choice to allow the opportunity to assess the performance and quality of various suppliers and items of plant.

Panel registration does not guarantee the award of actual work.

The Council’s Local Preference Purchasing Procedure adopted on 20 March 2018 applies to this Tender.

Tenders should be submitted in accordance with instructions included in the information documents and lodged in the electronic tender box prior to the closing time and date. The onus rests on the tenderer to ensure that the tender is lodged in accordance with the above requirements.
