Preferred Supplier Arrangement for the Wholesale Supply, Storage and Delivery of Quarry Products.

Maranoa Regional Council has become aware that Council has certain responsibilities associated with the purchase of Quarry Products. Council also needs to ensure quarry products are supplied from an approved source or a site licensed and approved by State and/or Local Government legislation.

Council invites suppliers of these products to submit information on their business, the type of products suppliers are willing to sell to Council, in wholesale quantities, including delivered price and onsite storage up to 12 months as well as supporting evidence that these partially manufactured or finished goods are from an approved source under Council’s license or a licensed and approved site/s under State and Local Government Legal requirements.

Councils’ intention is to set up a Preferred Supplier arrangement with one supplier under the Local government Regulation s233 for wholesale supply under a three (3) year agreement. Small infrequent and adhoc purchases by Council officers up to 1 ton will be exempt from this requirement.

Delivery of quarry products is required during the term of the contracts and this arrangement will be an annual fixed arrangement on a per ton basis. Product and delivered price including storage is required in this tender.

This Tender excludes Gravel Pits that are already under an arrangement with Council and a Landowner.
