Expressions of interest are sought from members for the role of RACP Congress Lead Fellow on the Congress Program Committee.
Description
EOIs are sought from Fellows from all Divisions, Faculties and Chapters across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The appointment term for this casual vacancy is to June 2024.
RACP Congress is the College’s annual flagship event which seeks to unite and energise physicians across all disciplines to reflect on their collective interests and enhance their general medical education, professionalism, leadership and supervision to deliver best practice healthcare now and for future generations.
The role of the Congress Lead Fellow provides opportunity for a strategic leader to influence and shape the Congress program for our broad and diverse specialist community. The Lead Fellow and Congress Program Committee work with key College members and staff to deliver the annual Congress event.
Duties include:
- leading the Congress Program Committee to coordinate the development of an innovative, cohesive, and engaging cross-disciplinary program
- representing the Congress Program Committee via an ex officio appointment to the Fellowship Committee
- working with the Congress Program Committee, Fellowship Committee and College staff to develop Congress strategy for Board approval
- attending various College committee meetings to share news of Congress and promote inclusion
- attending Congress
