Tender Description
The Personnel Security Vetting Unit (PSVU) is a business unit within the Professional Standards Portfolio of the WA Police Force, which conducts security vetting of personnel working for, or contracted to, the WA Police Force who work in identified positions that require a security clearance.
Although the PSVU has core staff who conduct vetting, the WA Police Force is seeking to establish a Panel of one or more qualified and experienced contractors to assist with the provision of security vetting services.
The PSVU conducts three levels of security clearances - Baseline Vetting (BLV), Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1), and Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2), which are Australian Government levels. The vetting process is conducted in accordance with the Australian Government's Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and also complies with all relevant legislation, and the security, privacy and policy requirements of the WA Police Force.
Security clearance processes vary between an initial clearance, an upgrade, a revalidation, or a review for cause. Additional vetting actions may be required for a particular purpose, which will be negotiated with the contractor and pre-approved by the WA Police Force on a case-by-case basis.
Respondents should note that this is a contract for services and not an employment contract.
