Queensland Hydro is inviting qualified and experienced Suppliers to tender for the provision of Onsite Clinical Support for Borumba Paramedic Services Pumped Hydro Energy Storage (PHES) Projects.

The scope of work for Onsite Clinical Support for Borumba Paramedic Services includes various elements, including but not limited to:

• A single paramedic with a 4WD fully equipped responder ambulance 7 days per week, 12 hours per day (nominally 6am – 6pm);
• Replaceable medical consumables;
• Telehealth support for the paramedic, enabling them to liaise with a medical doctor as required.

The paramedic is to provide the following services:

• Medical care for the treatment of minor injuries for site personnel (e.g. flushing of wounds, removal of splinters);
• Immediate response to medical emergencies that occur on site. This may include transporting injured/ ill personnel offsite to a receiving medical facility in non-emergency situations;
• Drug (saliva) and alcohol testing on a daily basis for site personnel. Drug testing is to be for the following substances: cocaine, cannabis, opiates, methamphetamines, amphetamines. The paramedic will be responsible for managing chain of custody in the event of a non negative drug test result.
• Assist with running health-related toolbox talks/ pre start talks as directed by Queensland Hydro site personnel;
• Attendance at daily interface meeting;
• Participate in emergency exercises as directed.
