The Council of the City of Sydney ("the City") invites tenders for the provision of onsite drug and alcohol testing services in accordance with this Request for Tender.

The City has an Alcohol and Other Drugs Policy which aims to eliminate risks from the use of alcohol and other drugs in the workplace. A fitness for work assessment and testing procedure supports the implementation of this Policy.

A workplace drug and alcohol testing program is currently in place. Testing may be carried out following a reportable incident, upon reasonable concern of worker impairment, as part of a workplace monitoring/rehabilitation program, or within the scope of the City's workplace random testing program.

Testing methods include:

- Oral fluid (saliva) drugs testing in accordance with AS/NZS4760: 2019 - Procedures for specimen collection and the detection and quantitation of drugs of abuse in oral fluid; and

- Breath alcohol testing in accordance with AS3547:2019 - Breath testing devices for personal use

The initial term of the contract is for 3 years, with an optional term of 2 years at the City's discretion.
