The Outback Regional Roads & Transport Group (ORRTG) is a cooperative governance arrangement between the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) Central West Region and the local government areas of Barcaldine Regional Council, Barcoo Shire Council, Blackall-Tambo Regional Council, Boulia Shire Council, Diamantina Shire Council, Longreach Regional Council and Winton Shire Council.

As an initiative of the Roads Alliance, which incorporates DTMR and the Local Government Association Queensland (LGAQ), the ORRTG was formed to develop and coordinate the management of the Local Roads of Regional Significance in their region. It aims to improve local productivity, road viability, tourism, cattle industry, road safety, local community access, mining exploration and to provide better access to basic services for farmers and small communities alike.

The Outback Regional Roads and Transport Group (ORRTG), the Principal, invites tenders from suitably qualified parties to undertake Condition Assessment on bridges and culverts in poor and very poor state within the Outback Group Region.

The Local Councils in the ORRTG region who are combining to procure this application include:

•  Barcaldine Regional Council;
•  Barcoo Shire Council;
•  Blackall-Tambo Regional Council;
•  Diamantina Shire Council; and
•  Longreach Regional Council.
