Opal St WTP Sludge Lagoon Dewatering
Tender ID: 542874
Tender Details
Tender Description
Central Highland Regional Council (CHRC) is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to dislodge a section of the Opal St Water Treatment Plant Sludge Lagoon to reduce solids in the supernatant. Currently, the sludge lagoon has been online for a considerable time and has become overloaded causing solids to flow over into the neighboring golf course lagoon.
The approximate dimensions of the lagoon are 155m long x 55m wide x 6m deep at the southern end. CHRC intends to have approximately 8600m3 cleared from the Supernatant Discharge end of the lagoon to prevent solids carryover. The contractor is to also include costs to supply and install a Class 1 Silt Curtain, at the supernatant discharge end of the lagoon to slow the build up of solids around the discharge pipe.
