RFI Mangere & Rosedale Biogas Engines
Tender ID: 542257
Tender Details
Tender Description
Watercare is developing a coordinated strategy for upgrading our biogas systems at our two largest Wastewater Treatment Plants in Auckland, New Zealand:
Mangere WWTP, servicing a population of 1.1 million, with a projected future capacity of 1.5 million.
Rosedale WWTP, servicing a population of 240 thousand, with a projected future capacity of 600 thousand.
At both sites, sludge from the wastewater treatment process is sent to anaerobic digesters to generate biogas. Watercare will upgrade the capacity of their biogas power generation at both sites to best utilize this energy source, as the population increases.
We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified parties to partner with Watercare in delivering the new generation assets required, and in providing long-term servicing for the assets so that they operate reliably and cost-effectively.
The aim of this RFI is to engage with leaders and innovators in the field of biogas cogeneration to select candidates that would be invited to participate in a procurement process for the assets and services contract.
