City of Moreton Bay would like to invite suitably experienced, qualified and resourced contractors to undertake the scope of works located at the intersection of Ferny Way and Gordon Road, Ferny Hills.
The scope of work includes installation of traffic signals and other intersection improvements designed to reduce congestion and delay and to improve safety, particularly for pedestrians. The project includes modifying and reconstructing the existing left turn slip lanes, footpaths, electricity poles and streetlights.
The objective of this project is to improve safety for all road users and to increase the capacity of the intersection and provide safer maneuvering when exiting Gordon Road and turning right into Ferny Way. The project will ensure continued intersection operation within an acceptable level of service, and significantly improve the walkability and safety for pedestrians at this location.
