Tender Description

Byron Shire Council invites Tender Submissions for Project works to the Mullumbimby Recreation Grounds Amenities and Athletics Buildings; requirements are as follows:

  • Demolition of existing Amenities Block
  • Design and Construction of new Accessible Amenities Block in line with recent Amenities Upgrades throughout the Shire that address CPTED principles. NOTE: New Amenities Block to be design and situated on existing building footprint, there is no allowance for expansion of this footprint.
  • Refurbishment/ Renovation to existing Athletics Building to accommodate 2 x Accessible Change Rooms, 2 x Storerooms and up to 3 x Game Day toilets.
  • Accessible pathways to link with Carpark (accessible) and existing path to Netball Courts.

Byron Shire Council has included a 'Concept' Plan for use as a Design guide.

Suppliers are to provide all Structural Engineering to suit their Tender Submission Design/s for both buildings.

Suppliers are to provide Warranties: * 6 years structural warranty. * 26-week Defects liability period. for both buildings.

**A Mandatory Site Meeting is set for 10am Thursday 26 October 2023** Attendance is essential for Tender Submission Compliance.

It is expected works will commence January 2024.
