Tenders are invited for the construction of a new Pedestrian Bridge at Quota Memorial Park, Nambour.

Council is seeking the services of an experienced bridge Contractor to undertake the works which include, but are not limited to:

• Construction of a new pedestrian bridge with a 21.5m long main span with a 3.0m clear width utilising prestressed concrete girders and cast-in situ deck supported on bored piled piers with cast in-situ concrete approach/jump spans. Aluminium balustrade and approach railing and rock protection on the banks are included. The bridge has a total length of 33.5m;
• Concrete footpath connections and hard landscaping; and
• Softscape to both the Eastern and Western bridge approaches.

​Council will consider Alternative Tenders when accompanied by a Conforming Tender. Under an Alternate Tender, Respondents may propose alternate substructure or superstructure elements, however significant variations to the bridge layout or geometry will not be considered.

This is a lump sum construction contract, with the Council seeking to engage one Contractor to undertake the entire construction program of works. The successful Contractor will be required to provide all materials, plant, and labour, and to perform all necessary operations of whatever kind, to ensure the completion of works associated with this Contract.

It is anticipated that works will commence in March 2024, with functional completion by the end of October 2024.
