Hinchinbrook Shire Council is seeking an external party interested in providing a green waste service to the community by managing and processing incoming green waste on behalf of the Hinchinbrook community.

Council is looking for an external party would manage and own a separate facility where community members can bring their green waste for disposal. This green waste is then to be processed into a suitable for re-use (compost or mulch).

Council received approximately 2,000 tonnes of green waste over the 2022-2023 FY from commercial and domestic sources. This resulted in an income of $102,816 for Council.
