The works scope covers the removal of the existing small capacity culverts and floodway with the installation of a multi-cell RCBC along with the construction of approach roads, outfall earthworks, 2-coat seal and guardrail.

The construction will need to be staged with a temporary detour via Yankee Crossing Road and Woods Road to maintain 24 hour access to the residents west of the site location. The contract requires traffic control in the form of a reduced speed zone for the duration as well as pre and post grading of the gravel sections.

The works takes place within the road reserve with some outfall earthworks on private land. Works on private land must be carried out with due care, with the site left in good condition to the satisfaction of the landowner.

RCBC units will be supplied by Council in early 2024 with unloading on-site the responsibility of the contractor.

A non-compulsory pre-tender meet will be held on site at 2pm on Tuesday October 10, 2023.

Tenderers may inspect the site at any time however attendance at the non-compulsory site meeting is encouraged and advised.
