The purpose of Procurement at Sydney Water is to get the goods, services and facilities it needs, when it needs them and for the right cost. Procurement is a key enabler and contributor to the success of our strategic objectives and fulfilling our vision to create a better life through world-class water services. As our customers reply on us for reliable, high-quality services at affordable prices, we partner with an extensive range of suppliers to help us create thriving, livable and sustainable cities. It’s crucial that we undertake procurement activities ethically and equitably to ensure that the best commercial outcomes are achieved in line with our organisational values and statutory obligations.
Sydney Water is issuing an Expression of interest to tender for Supply and Delivery of the following grades of Activated Carbon used in the treatment of potable water and wastewater:
1. Potassium or Sodium Hydroxide Impregnated Activated Carbon
2. Potassium Iodide Impregnated Activated Carbon
3. Copper Oxide Impregnated Activated Carbon
4. Unimpregnated Granular Activated Carbon
Sydney Water operates pre-qualification processes and only invites successful participants through to participation in tender activities. To be considered for participation, you may have to complete a pre-qualification process prior to the commencement of a tender. The interested suppliers must also submit a detailed write-up addressing their ability to satisfy the minimum criteria given below:
1. Work Health and Safety systems accredited to or capable of being accredited to the following standards (evidence required):
• AS4801/AS/NZS/ISO45001; OR
• NSW government WHS management system and auditing guidelines - 6th Edition; OR
• Office of Federal Safety Commission (OFSC accreditation).
AND Safety Prequalification Assessment
2. Demonstrated stability of financial performance and preparedness to disclose financial details for Sydney Water to assess the financial standing of the supplier. Your proposal must be emailed to the contact person by Monday, 16th October 2023. Late submissions cannot be considered to proceed.
