Tenders are invited to submit prices to undertake the construction of a Trunk Watermain (the watermain).

Urbex 118 Pty Ltd (Urbex) as the Principal is seeking to engage a suitably qualified Contractor to undertake the construction of the water main to support the development of the proposed Somers & Hervey Residential Estate (the estate), previously Bluewattle. This water main is identified indicatively as proposed asset 426 within the Townsville City Council (TCC) Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP).

The water main design extends from the existing eastern end of Bluewattle Boulevard through the estate and to the western side of South Beck Drive to allow the future provision of connection via a “T” arrangement with the Riverstone development proposed water main layout.

The bulk earthworks for the estate have been completed, and the Principal Contractor for the estate (Estate Principal Contractor) has commenced civil works for the development. The water main works are within the site currently under the control of the Estate Principal Contractor and have been identified within the critical path of the civil works development construction program for the estate.

In order to meet the Principal’s delivery requirements, the water main project shall be delivered concurrently with the civil development works and be aligned with the Estate Principal Contractor’s program.
