The Sub-contractor is responsible for and is obliged to complete all aspects of the project that relate to the Cladding within the tender/Sub-contract documents listed in the List of

Specifications and Drawings (LSD). These responsibilities and obligations include but are not limited to the provision of the following;

1. Design and documentation of the DSW

2. Interface and co-ordination of the design and of the construction of the DSW with all other aspects of the overall project

3. Supply and installation of all materials, labor, plant and equipment required to complete the DSW including but not limited to the following;

a) Supply and installation of all roof access towers and perimeter edge protection during the cladding of the roof,

b) Supply and install all safety mesh to roof and walls as required,

c) Supply and install the roof and wall insulation, selection shall be in accordance with the thermal requirements indicated on the pricing schedule.

d) Supply and install the roof and wall cladding include canopies,

e) Supply and install all translucent sheeting, one strip per bay (single sheet width).

f) Supply and install all gutters, conventional downpipes and where siphonic drainage is provided cutting into position / installation of free-issued siphonic downpipe outlets.

g) Supply and Install flashing as required including to change in material joints, openings and service penetrations.

h) Supply and install all ventilation equipment including wall louvres (all louvres apart from the boiler room extension to be 2-stage), ridge ventilators, sloping vents, etc,

i) Cut penetration and install all free-issued pre-hung metal clad PA doors, including fitting of door hardware (supplied loose with doors),

j) Cut penetration and installation of free-issued windows in the MRO warehouse, this excludes the internal windows within the MRO office,

k) Supply and installation of hungry board, refer to drawing 3963-09-20-SKT-004 for additional information. Works include the supply and installation of steel studs for central support.

I) Removal of flashing, PA doors, louvres, purlins, girts and cladding on walls and roofs highlighted on drawing 3963-09-20-SKT-002, including repositioning of existing sheets and transporting / disposing of waste in Contractor supplied skip bins (cutting materials suitable for disposal in skip bins),

m) The continuous clean-up of your area of work,

n) The completion of any punch list items associated with this scope of work,

4. Exclusions - the following items of work are specifically excluded;

a) Supply and installation of internal PA Doors within the MRO Office and MRO Receipts Store (Timber Doors). The Subcontractor is still required to install free- issued external doors at the MRO Office and internal doors between the MRO Warehouse and MRO Office / Mezzanine Store / Mezzanine Office areas. Refer to drawing 3963-09-20-SKT-001 for additional detail.

b) Where siphonic drainage is provided supply and installation of siphonic downpipes from outlets installed into gutters by the Subcontractor.

c) Supply of all windows and installation of internal windows within the MRO office. 

d) Lining of internal walls within the MRO office, drawing 3963-09-20-SKT-001 provides additional clarity with regards to the Subcontractor’s scope.

e) Erection of structural steelwork.

f) Where the Subcontractor is removing cladding, any requirement to remove structural steelwork (the Subcontractor is expected to remove girts in these locations).

g) Cladding at the Spodumene Building.

h) Supply and installation of precast concrete walls at the MRO office.

I) Plastic coated roof safety mesh, it is expected that all safety mesh shall be galvanized.

5. Where quantities have been provided in the tender/contract documents they are for information only. Tenders have been submitted based on the specification, drawings and standard building practice.

6. The Sub-contractor is deemed to have included in its tender/sub-contract price and must ensure that a suitable skilled non-working Site Supervisor is on site at all times monitoring the Scope of Work, Quality and all Safety requirements.

7.  Provision of facilities and services as set out in the Establishment Responsibility matrix

8. Compliance and participation in the project Occupational Health Safety Environment Heritage and Community requirements as set out in the contract

9.Employment of Australian indigenous people such that at least 5% of the man-hours expended on the contract is performed by people with an Australian Indigenous background.

10. Maximize the opportunity for local services providers and labour.

11. Compliance and participation in the project Quality Assurance requirements as set out in the contract

12. Provision of all As Built Drawings, Inspection and Testing Records (ITP's), and Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manuals (IOM's) and Manufacturers Data Reports (MDR)

13. Final payment shall be withheld until all Documentation as defined in Contract Deliverables has been received and approved by Kerman,

14. Compliance with project Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management requirements of the project.

15. Working hours on site will be 5 days on from Monday to Friday (6am to 5pm) with 2 days rest on the weekend (Saturday & Sunday).
