Proposed Use of Council Facilities - Tamworth Regional Airport

⁠⁠⁠Council invites Interested Parties to make submissions to enter a Licence or Lease to occupy the following areas in the International Flight Training Tamworth (IFTT) Precinct.

Council may consider a proposal by an Interested Party for more than one area, or for only one of the following areas:

1. Technical Building - being Part Lot 58 DP 1221018;

The large IFTT Technical Building consists of 5,515m² of administration, training and technical space specifically designed to support a large flight training and maintenance business. The current configuration has a considerable range of office space across the facility to support individual work areas or business units. Numerous purpose-built training rooms, assembly and briefing areas are present. Other supporting areas consist of simulator rooms, facility library, and a large flight operations room with an upstairs flight operations tower. The facility is supported by suitable bathrooms, locker rooms, kitchen and BBQ areas and adjoining car park.

2. Residential Accommodation - being Part Lot 50 DP 85719;

The Residential Accommodation is located directly abeam the IFFT Technical Building and

Hangar facility. The accommodation consists of seven accommodation blocks each consisting of 33 en-suited single rooms (231 total). Each block has a communal lounge area and laundry. The accommodation blocks are supported by a large messing hall, formal bar and adjoining function rooms, formal foyer with adjoining hospitability offices, a large commercial kitchen and servery, gymnasium, pool and sporting courts, fields and car park.

3. Hangar and surrounding supporting facilities - being Part Lot 11 DP 814249

The large purpose-built hangar with direct airside access includes the following: parts and tool store, reception area, offices, avionics room, engineer workshop, hydraulics workshop, lunch room, male and female amenities including showers, battery room, storage areas and a general hangar space.
