Avenue Road Bridge, Stirling, - Rehabilitation Works

⁠⁠⁠ADELAIDE HILLS COUNCIL of 63 Mount Barker Road, Stirling SA 5152 (the Council) invites submissions from suitably qualified Tenderers for the provision of bridge remedial works (the Services). The Council may enter into a Contract for the Provision of Services with the successful Tenderer.

The Avenue Road Highway Bridge was originally built around 1940, over the railway line in Stirling, Adelaide Hills. The bridge structural components consist of stone abutment walls, steel main beams and concrete deck fitted with steel safety rails. A pedestrian steel bridge is attached to the eastern side of the bridge to provide pedestrian access across the railway line.

Based on the Council’s previous bridge audit reports and recent inspection reports it is evident that some of the bridge structural components have deteriorated over the years which require rehabilitation works to be carried out in order to extend their serviceable life expectancies.
