Tender Description
The Town of Port Hedland (Town) is seeking a qualified and experienced Contractor to design, refurbish, and replace aging playground equipment and infrastructure in line with the Town’s Public Open Space Strategy (2019) at Yikara Park Playground in Port Hedland.
Yikara Park Playground, spanning approx. 500m2 holds significant popularity within the local community as a favored recreation spot for the surrounding community and a commonly utilised space for children’s birthday parties that caters for multi-age groups spanning 0 – 10 years old.
The proposed design should adhere to the current park layout while incorporating novel play elements. The projects scope encompasses the replacement of end-of-life softfall materials, play equipment and fencing. Due to the geometry of the park, the Contractor will be required to provide a solution which includes the removal of river sand and minor landscaping and associated services as indicated on the design brief. This could include the increase of softfall to the site fence or concrete panel placement.
