Tender Description
The Council of the City of Sydney ("City") invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) to carry out City Civil Works in accordance with this request. The City is looking to form a panel arrangement based on a schedule of rates as better described in Part B- Specification. The potential term of the contract is 5 years with two further extensions. The first extension is for 3 years, and the second extension is for 2 years (5+3+2).
Typical examples of the types of civil works undertaken by the City include footway renewals, paving works, road renewals, drainage and stormwater renewals, pedestrian cycling & traffic works, lighting poles & electrical, fencing and water quality infrastructure
The City of Sydney Local Government Area (the City) covers 26.15 square kilometres, within the Sydney metropolitan area. It comprises the Sydney Central Business District (CBD), the Rocks, Millers Point, Ultimo, Pyrmont, Surry Hills, Woolloomooloo, Kings Cross, Elizabeth Bay, Rushcutters Bay, Darlinghurst, Chippendale, Darlington, Camperdown, Forest Lodge, Glebe, Alexandria, Beaconsfield, Centennial Park, Erskineville, Newtown, Redfern, Rosebery, Waterloo, and Zetland.
The City of Sydney is responsible for maintaining, and repairing about 330 kilometres of roads, 600 kilometres of footpaths and over $3.6 billion worth of assets. In addition, as part of the continuous city improvement, the City embarks on large capital projects.
Given its location as the economic and cultural heart of the Sydney metropolitan area, the City is highly and densely urbanised. Its land is intensively used for a variety of purposes including residential and commercial use, as well as tourist and cultural attractions, parks and open space. It is home to the highest commercial and residential densities in Australia.
Respondents must submit Expressions of Interest in the manner required by this document.
NOTE:
Briefing
The City will hold a Microsoft Teams-based briefing, to further inform Respondents of the intention of the EOI and proposed future RFT.
This briefing will be held at 9:30 am Thursday 28th September 2023.

Tender Forum
The tender will have a forum open for questions from the 22nd of September 2023 until COB of the 11th of October 2023. All questions MUST be asked during this period of time ONLY.
