Director of National Parks (DNP) has developed an e-Commerce system to process park pass sales for Kakadu National Park (KNP), Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park (UKTNP), Booderee National Park (BNP), merchandise for KNP, The and education and venue hire bookings at the Australian National Botanic Gardens (ANBG).

The e-Commerce system has a range of users including staff, commercial tourism, and sales agents who use the system’s Trade Portal. There are currently 400 registered users of the trade portal who can sell, and purchase park passes and manage bookings, and staff can undertake reporting for BNP, KNP UKTNP, and ANBG. Annually, around 110,000 external users access the site for self-service bookings.

We are seeking to engage a suitable vendor to maintain and support the Parks Australia E-Commerce system for 1 month (11th October 2023 to 8th November 2023) and continue development to support, enhance, and expand the system’s capabilities.

With this contract, the project aims to deliver the following major features to the system:

• Education bookings for Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park (UKTNP)
• Helpdesk functions
