Tender Description

The City of Cockburn (The Principal) is seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced contractor in the field of Lift maintenance and servicing for Passenger Lifts, lifting platforms and goods lifts throughout the City of Cockburn.

The contractor will be responsible for the complete maintenance coverage including examinations, cleaning, painting, lubrication, adjusting, parts replacement, repairs and testing on all parts of the Lift equipment.

The work to be carried out shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following general activities:

a) regular and regulatory inspection, servicing, and maintenance of passenger lifts and dumb waiters (goods lifts)

b) regulatory testing and annual certification of passenger’s lifts and dumb waiters (goods lifts)

c) maintaining all statutory signage and labeling

d) maintaining and testing of emergency communication devices

e) review and advise the Principal’s Representative on appropriate energy management devices and efficient lift operations

f) other minor works not specifically identified but necessary for the effective completion of the specified tasks and procedures

g) undertake maintenance/repair work in response to breakdowns, call outs etc

h) Minimising the need for callouts by inspecting the systems during routine service visits with the view to affecting any minor repairs, replacements, or maintenance during these visits.

The Specification is to be read in the context it is written and will be the basis upon which the Contractor is to achieve an acceptable standard and level of service.

The proposed Contract shall be in force for a period of three (3) years from the date of Contract Award, with principal-instigated options to extend the period for a subsequent one (1) year period and up to an additional twelve (12) months after that, to a maximum of five (5) years.

The Contract is expected to commence in October 2023.

Mandatory Site Briefing:

Attendance at this meeting is mandatory.

Failure to attend this briefing will render the Tenderer ineligible to submit a Tender.

Tenderers are required to attend a Tender briefing on:

• Thursday, 28th September 2023 at 10:00 am (AWST).

The location of the meeting is at:

City of Cockburn Operations Centre, 52 Wellard Road Bibra Lake

The briefing will provide Tenderers with the opportunity to clarify any uncertainties with the Principal prior to the closing of the Tender.

All attendees will be required to sign an acknowledgement register of attendance.
