Customer Asset Maintenance (CAM) have requirements to move or shunt rollingstock within the maintenance facilities at Mayne to perform maintenance activities. These movements are currently achieved by numerous different methods depending on the location within the facility. To improve safety and efficiency of maintenance operations, CAM wish to review the market for available machines that can safely and efficiently perform the required rollingstock movements in the confined area of operation.
The project will procure and implement a Rail Vehicle Placer that meets the requirements of Customer Asset Maintenance, specifically that is capable of shunting the vehicles described below within the Mayne Electric Train Depot, Jacking Road and Wheel Lathe at the Mayne Rail Complex.
