This program provides funding to organisations in the resource recovery sector in Western Australia.
Overview
Funding is available to support the development of waste plastics, tyres, paper, and cardboard processing infrastructure to manage materials currently collected for recycling in Western Australia and exported.
A project that focus on delivering the following waste infrastructure will be prioritised for funding:
- plastics – commercial film plastics collection and processing and facilities that can process soft plastics
- tyres – regional tyre processing
- paper and cardboard – secondary paper and cardboard sorting
- logistics considerations – investments that improve the long-term logistics for material collection and separation.
