Shellharbour City Council (the principal) wishes to engage the services of an experienced architect to work with them on the next phases of delivery of the Waterfront Centre.

The Waterfront Centre (WFC) is located at 2 Waterfront Promenade, Shell Cove. The WFC is Council owned and will house community Centre, a branch library, a visitors information Centre, public amenities and associated facilities.

Shellharbour City Council in conjunction with Frasers Property engaged Smart Design Studio and their consultant team to design and prepare the Development Application submission in June 2023 for The Waterfront Centre, the latest Community Building to be located at Shell Cove town centre. The principal wishes to retain the design of the building by Smart Design Studio.

The Architect will be required to provide the principal with full and comprehensive architectural and interior design consultancy for the next stages as a functional, technical, buildable and deliverable proposition.

The Architect, as lead consultant is to work with the consultancy team to be engaged under this contract. The Architect will also act at all times as a reasonable and proactive member of the team for the Project.

The Project Management for the construction of the project will be undertaken by Shellharbour City Council as nominated. The Principal will act as a stakeholder in the engagement.

i) Tenders can be submitted in electronic format through Council's etendering portal in the format required by the tender documents.

ii) Alternatively, tenders can be submitted in hard copy in the Tender box located at Council's Administration Centre, 76 Cygnet Avenue Shellharbour City Centre NSW 2529.
