Tender Description

Invitation

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) invites interested and suitably capable stakeholders to attend an Industry Briefing for the upcoming Proactive Asset Replacement of All Legacy Plastic Bodied Traffic Signal Lanterns with Extra Low Voltage (PARALLEL) project.

The Industry Briefing will provide industry stakeholders with a broad understanding of the scope of the PARALLEL project, the type of skills required, the method of procurement, the likely budgets available, and the timing of the work entering the market, of interest to both contractors, suppliers, and consultants.

The PARALLEL project Industry Briefing is being held on Thursday 21 September at 10:00 am AEST via MS Teams meeting.

Project Overview

The project is a state-wide replacement of existing Low Voltage (LV) plastic-bodied traffic signal lanterns with aluminum-bodied traffic signal lanterns that use Extra Low Voltage (ELV) electrical supply technology – that is voltages below 50 Volts AC. It is estimated that TMR will replace up to 30,000 lanterns over the next five years. The project is currently funded for $59M.
