Central and Eastern Sydney PHN (CESPHN) are requesting proposals for a Process Evaluation of the GP Antenatal Shared Care (ANSC) Program.
CESPHN works in partnership with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) and Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) to deliver three GP ANSC Programs at the following public hospitals
i. RPA Women and Babies and Canterbury Hospital
ii. Royal Hospital for Women
iii. St George Hospital and Sutherland Hospital
Each GP ANSC Program operates independently within its own defined and endorsed clinical policies and protocols and is guided by a separate Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between CESPHN and the participating hospitals.
The GP ANSC Program is jointly administered by CESPHN and the participating hospitals, with each hospital providing clinical support to ANSC GPs, and CESPHN undertaking non-clinical activities.
The purpose of this process evaluation is to:
i. Contextualise the GP ANSC Program as a model of antenatal care within the CESPHN region
ii. Examine other service approaches that support the delivery of GP ANSC
iii. Identify how CESPHN can continue to support partners in the delivery of the GP ANSC Program
iv. Inform decisions about potential program redesign and future program implementation.
