Tender Description
The City of Sydney ("the City") invites Requests for Tender for the carrying out of HVAC & BMCS upgrade works for the Wilcox & Mofflin building located at 46-52 Mountain Street Ultimo, NSW 2007 in accordance with this request.
Background information
The Wilcox Mofflin Building, a historic five-story warehouse built in 1905 and located at 46-52 Mountain Street Ultimo in Sydney, New South Wales. The structure has a Ground Level, four floors above it, a Mezzanine Level on the Fifth Level, and a Roof Level plantroom above that.
The Ground floor of the building is mostly vacant however the upper floors are being used as a combination of commercial offices and a campus for tertiary education, with the tenant occupying the Third, Fourth, and Fifth floors whilst the tenant Torrens University is using the First and Second floors.
The building has two water-cooled chillers, rejecting heat through 2 cooling towers shared with the tenant's condenser water loop. The chilled water is delivered via two chilled water pumps to two chillers water rises to two separate AHU plant rooms per floor each with two VSD AHUs for centre and perimeter zones. The centre zone air supply has VAV and the perimeter is constant volume. The building spaces are heated via electric duct heaters.
Outside Air (O/A) enters the building via two fans pressurised O/A risers feeding down to the floor plant rooms.
The chiller and cooling towers are situated in the roof plant room, and steps leading up from the level 5 mezzanine floor provide access.
