Walcha Council has organised the necessary quantity of material in nearby quarries.

The contractor shall:

• Clean drains, reshape is necessary

• Cut shoulders as per Appendix 5.A.2

• Place, spread, compact the gravel to RMS T100 - AS 1141.3.1 9.3

• Shape the road according to the cross-section in 5.A2.

The contractor shall organise:

• A program of works for final completion by no later than 1st May 2024 (a progression rate of 500-700m/day is anticipated), specifying the number of crews involved.

• Their logistics to move the material from the quarry to a designated section of road

• All the equipment required to collect the material at a quarry, monitor and report their consumption to Council every fortnight.

• Develop a methodology to minimise the overall water consumption while maintaining the pavement quality target, and to organise their logistics to bring the required amount of water on site to perform the works (e.g., material pre-conditioning) while monitoring all quality aspects.

• The required traffic control to maintain a safe working environment on-site.

• A relative compaction test at the early stages of the material placement

     o A minimum of 3 tests over the first 500m is expected to confirm the placement process.

The contractor is responsible to organise and acceptable level of the Quality Control during the works by maintaining a:

• Daily Work Quantity sheet specifying:

     o Locations

     o Quantity placed

     o Distance achieved

     o Water consumption

• Quarry consumption tracking sheet in correlation with the Daily Work Quantity sheet

     o This document shall be created for each sector/quarry

• Any additional document relevant to the Quality Management Plan.

The evaluation will be run on a 40:60 ratio - price to non-price criteria
