City of South Perth

Background

The City of South Perth (the City) is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced golf course operators for the management, facility redevelopment and improvement, including own capital investment of the Collier Park Golf Course ("Golf Course") for a period of up to 21 years*. Note: This Tender excludes course maintenance. The City will continue to maintain the Golf Course.

The successful Tenderer will play a key role in the proposed redevelopment of the Golf Course and facilities consistent with the City's Strategic Community Plan. The outcome required is an enhanced and contemporary recreation and golfing experience and the attraction of a wider, diverse audience to enhance the Golf Course as a place for community recreation, engagement and socialisation.

*The maximum Contract duration available is conditionally 21 years, as a single 21 year term or a combination of terms of up to 21 years as agreed between the successful Tenderer and the City. The final term granted to the successful Tenderer may be shorter than 21 years (with the final term awarded dependent upon the terms and conditions of the Offer received from that successful Tenderer).

The successful Tenderer shall be required to enter into a lease agreement with the Principal to lease a part of the Golf Course (comprising the club house, kiosk, pro shop and forecourt areas) and to operate the facility consistent with the Request requirements and Course Controller Agreement. The term of this lease will be identical to the term granted under the Course Controller Agreement The existing management arrangements for the Golf course expire 31 March 2024.

The City

The City of South Perth is a medium-sized metropolitan local government authority in the inner southern suburbs of Perth's Western Australian capital city. Situated across the Swan River about 4 kilometres south of Perth CBD, the City is nearly 20 square kilometres and covers the suburbs of South Perth, Kensington, Como, Manning, Karawara, Waterford and Salter Point.
