Provision of Weed Control in Roads and Pathways Services

The City of South Perth is seeking the services of a suitably equipped, qualified and experienced Contractor to provide weed control services on roads and pathways throughout City managed streets and public access ways. The aim of the Quality weed control programming in the City aims to:

-Protect a range of Western Australian industries from the spread of declared harm plants

-Protect private and public infrastructure from the negative impacts of ongoing and uncontrolled weed growth

- Protect people, the local environment, and organisms from harm from weeds and their control and

- Enhance urban amenity.

A range of methods as defined in the Specifications, are to be applied to achieve maximum weed control at minimum environmental and social impact. This is a performance-based contract that requires the Contractor to meet minimum weed control measures and quality of service.

This is a performance-based contract that requires the contractor to meet minimum weed control and quality of service measures. The contract period is for three (3) years and subject to acceptable performance and operational requirements, the contract may be extended for two (2) further one (1) year periods exercisable at the sole discretion of the City.

It is the intention of the City to award the resultant contract to a sole Respondent. However, the City, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to award to more than one supplier, if the offers assessed suggest that there may be service capacity, capability, and timing concerns with the delivery of the requirements by any single Respondent. The City

The City of South Perth is a medium-sized metropolitan local government authority in the inner southern suburbs of Perth's Western Australian capital city. Situated across the Swan River about 4 kilometres south of Perth CBD, the City is nearly 20 square kilometres and covers the suburbs of South Perth, Kensington, Como, Manning, Karawara, Waterford and Salter Point. The Organisation

The City's Civic Centre is located on the corner of Sandgate Street and South Terrace, South Perth. The City also operates from other locations, including its Operations Centre at 199 Thelma Street, Como.
