SERVICE REQUIRED:

Council is seeking Tenders for the construction and management of all works required for a new amenity building at Little manly Point Reserve, the new amenities consist of three rooms:

• Unisex change/wc
• Unisex Accessible wc
• Unisex ambulant wc

The building itself is bespoke by design, incorporating a round design and utilising aluminium roof and cladding alongside timber screens to blend into its environments. The building requires sewer and electrical services from Stuart Street with connection to existing water within the reserve. The sewer system is a three-phase dual pump out system with a 3200lt tank.

Little Manly Point Reserve was the former Manly Gas Works site, a Review of Environmental Factors was undertaken for the project and the Historical Archaeological Assessment for the project indicates that the site of the proposed amenities building is outside of the areas occupied by the former gas works structures and therefore has a low probability of being affected by former contamination. The management of the project has extra precautionary measures that have to be adhered to during construction to minimise risk if contamination is encountered during excavation.

The works are to be carried out strictly in accordance with the RFT and attachments. To have tenders considered, contractors will need to ensure that all required information requested in the Request for Tender document is provided.

Works are expected to start in November 2023.

SITE BRIEFING:

A Site briefing will be held on the 8th of August, 10am at Little Manly Reserve amenities site. Respondents should ensure they review all documents and understand the scope of work before attending the briefing.

Tenders close at 2pm AEST on the 7th September 2023 and must be fully received by this time.
