Tender Description
Powerlink Queensland is seeking Expressions of Interest for an On-Premise Backup and Recovery Solution for Operational Technology.
Powerlink is seeking to replace an existing on-premise backup, recovery, and data protection solution for our Operational Technology environment.
The Operational Technology environment houses all the systems and data that control, manage and support the electricity distribution network including substations, control networks, control rooms, and telecommunications. As such it is a critical component of electricity distribution across Queensland.
Due to the critical nature of these systems and the regulatory environment that Powerlink operates under a cloud-based solution is not appropriate and so an on-premise solution housed in Powerlink data centres is required.
The Expression of Interest (EOI) process constitutes the first stage of an intended two-stage procurement process. Only successful Respondents will be subsequently provided the opportunity to submit a tender for the contract to provide the Principal’s requirements, as part of the second stage.
