NGN - Co-ordination and delivery of NVT field walks in the central QLD region

⁠⁠⁠Growers in central Qld expressed that the have not had access to the local NVT sites via field days or walks and wanted greater exposure of sites and extension opportunities that arise from them such as guest speakers on locally relevant topics.

Outcome:

The outcome of the investment is that growers in the central Qld region will have access to the NVT field sites. The opportunity will enable them to talk with seed suppliers and the ability to hear from relevant researchers on key topics for the area, for them to make more informed decisions particularly around variety and variety specific agronomic management.

Outputs:

Output 1. Co-ordination of NVT field walks

Description:

Co-ordinate the delivery of one (1) field walk in the 2023 winter season and two (2) in the 2023/24 summer season. The number of events will increase for winter 2024 as there will be more NVT sites across CQ, to be negotiated with the relevant GRDC GRM but suggested to be 3 x winter 2024 and 2 x summer 2024/5.

It is encouraged to engage with other local groups to co-locate activities where possible to reduce the number of events but increase value for attendees.

Conditions for Participation:

The following are mandatory conditions with which a Tenderer must comply to participate in this procurement process:

1 The Tenderer must be a single legal entity or recognised firm of partners

2 The Tenderer and any proposed subcontractor must be compliant with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012, the Modern Slavery Act 2018 and any other applicable labour laws and standards in the jurisdiction in which they operate.

3 The Tenderer and any subcontractor must not have a judicial decision against it (not including decisions under appeal) relating to employee entitlements and who have not paid the claim.

4 The Tenderer and any subcontractor must not be named on the Consolidated List, being the list of persons and entities who are subject to targeted financial sanctions or travel bans under Australian sanction laws, as maintained by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
