Etheridge Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for Civil and associated building works.
Briefing or site inspection: 11:00AM Thursday 10th August 2023 at 51 High Street, Georgetown.

HSH Scope of Works.
Preliminaries.
Allow for all items, council is not supplying any items.
Allow for a 1-hour safety induction to senior staff, it will be the responsibility of the principal contractor to induct all other trades and employees on matters of safety.
Allow for all accommodation meals transport security and the like.
Cabins – one of the 3 cabins is an existing cabin that has been used out on the civil road projects and is approx. 5 years old or more. This one will be located on the south of the site.
Civils
There are minimal civil earthworks required on this project. The concrete works are detailed on the drawings. Allow for one concrete test, (3 Cylinders)
Services
General –Measure and photograph all underground services for “Red Pen Mark-up and for the designer to produce As-Cons
Provide a 100mm sleeve under the concrete driveways immediately in front of each carport and one sleeve across the driveway on the front boundary.
All spoil will need to be removed off this site, spoil to be transported and tipped on a council owned property inside the township, the location to be confirmed at the time. Spread by council.
Water – Council has recently installed the water service including the meter to the southwest corner of the site as per the plans. The cabins have tails only to the underfloor of each cabin, the cabin supplier is not providing the hot water system. Allow to supply and install an 80lt Electric Rheem or Rennai HWS
Stormwater – Allow for all downpipes and stormwater lines and concrete scour pads to the open street swale. The cabins do not have downpipes, only droppers.
Drainage – Allow for all underslung drainage to each cabin and the wastewater treatment system complete as per the plans and specification.
Electrical – Supply and install property pole for ergon connection, supply and install weatherproof meter box and underground supply to each cabin, The air-cons for the 2 new cabins will be connected by the cabin builder. The air-con to the existing cabins need to be inspected and replaced if required – Provide a PC amount to allow for this item. Allow for a sensor light to each carport. Lighting to the patio is not required as the cabins have a light to the patio wall. Electrical connection in the J-Box under the cabin.
Building Work
Carport – as per the plans, and/or Supply and install an alternative proprietary structure including engineering sign-off.
Patio and deck, as above as per plans, and/or Supply and install proprietary structure including engineering sign- off. We will also consider a concrete slab for the patio deck if cheaper than a raised steel and timber structure.
