Removal of Abatement Nuisance - Expression of Interest

⁠⁠⁠West Coast Council invites Expressions of Interest for the provision of services for the removal of fire risk for the 2023-2024 season.

All applicants must have a current ABN and appropriate insurance.

The services are for the removal of vegetation deemed by the Council to be a fire risk where a property owner has not complied with a Fire Hazard Abatement Notice. The services include but are not limited to, mowing, slashing, brush cutting, and the appropriate removal of gorse and other weeds throughout the municipality.

Individuals and businesses able to provide one or more of the above services in one or more West Coast towns are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest.

Successful Contractor/s will be required to provide fire risk abatement services within the approximate period of November 2023 to April 2024.

Expressions of Interest are to be submitted by completing the form (“FA Contractor Application”) along with any supplementary material.

Expressions of Interest must be received by 5 pm Friday 6 October 2023 and are to be addressed to the Manager of Planning & Compliance, West Coast Council, PO Box 63 Queenstown TAS 7467 or emailed to wcc@westcoast.tas.gov.au.
