Scenic Rim Regional Council (SRRC) is upgrading Beaudesert's underground stormwater system and rejuvenating its main street. This will include traffic improvements, lighting, landscaping, and associated pavement works along Short, Brisbane, and Eaglesfield Streets. The works are proposed to be separated into two separable portions. The first is from the stormwater outlet up through Short Street including the intersection of Short and Brisbane Streets. The second is from the Short and Brisbane Street intersection north and includes work up Eaglesfield Street. The priority for Council due to funding constraints is the drainage works along Short Street. This is to be completed by December, with the remaining work to follow after that.
The work site is in a busy commercial center for Beaudesert. As such, there are construction constraints associated with the project including the requirements to maintain water, sewer, communication services, power, and both pedestrian and vehicle access to all properties.
The Reinforced Concrete Pipes (RPC), Reinforced Concrete Box Culverts (RCBCs), and link slabs will be principally supplied to ensure work can begin as soon as possible. All other components will be the responsibility of the Contractor.
