Tender Description
On 6 October 2022, a Natural Disaster Declaration (AGRN 1034) was declared for Councils in the Riverina_Murray, as part of the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) in responding to assist the Council and the local community with the reconstruction of roads and road infrastructure to pre-event condition. In addition to the DRFA arrangements, the State Government has developed the Regional and Local Roads Repair Program (RLRRP), providing further funding to address urgent road repairs.
All works and activities carried out under the scope of works of this contract are based on and subject to the funding guidelines and requirements for these grants.
In response to widespread flooding in the Riverina, several of the Riverina_Murray Councils have partnered to undertake reconstruction works funded under both the DRFA and RLRRP grants. Partner Councils include
Edward River Council (Lead Council)
Berrigan Shire Council
Murray River Council
Murrumbidgee Council and
Federation Council
This Tender
Edward River Council, on behalf of partner Councils, invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers to undertake repair works to sealed roads.
This package is for the flood damage reconstruction works on the following Council assets
Edward River Council
Pretty Pine Road between CH40.84 to CH75.65 Km.
Maude Road between CH12.54 to CH37.42 Km.
Whilst tenders are sought on the aggregation of scope across the above Councils, a separate Contract will be formed between the successful tenderer and each partner Council which will be in the same form as those provided in the Tender Documents for Edward River Council (as amended in agreement by the parties).
