Whitsunday Coast Airport (WCA) - Retail Leases

⁠⁠⁠Whitsunday Regional Council (Council) requires suitably experienced Lessees/Operators to occupy two retail areas at the Whitsunday Coast Airport for the following purpose:

a) Newsagency/ Gift Store; and/or

b) Sushi Kiosk.

Submission may be made for one or both or the retail areas. If both, the business operations are to be addressed separately within the submission.

The Whitsunday Coast Airport Terminal ‘the Airport’ includes the following facilities, tailored to accommodate and service a Newsagency/Gift Store and a Sushi Kiosk ‘the Leased areas’:

a) 21m2 Walkaround Store plus 2.4m2 area for storage (blue on map in Attachment 1);

b) 9m2 Kiosk plus storage if required (red on Map in Attachment 2);

c) Passenger movements are estimated to be in excess of 500,000 per year;

d) The Airport is well serviced with ample car parking, a public bus service and taxis allowing for easy access for passengers.
